Great Estates Landscaping is always excited to be able to work with local businesses. Recently, we installed the landscaping and irrigation at Farmview Market. Located in scenic Madison, Georgia, Farmview Market is home to an onsite butcher, specialty grocery, farmer’s market, café, and even a grist mill! This exciting marketplace was in need of beautiful landscape to match the space and Great Estates Landscaping was happy to help!
We created a border for the property. We chose to use a mix of savannah, shamrock ink berry, and dwarf yaupon hollies for this project. These varieties are hardy plants that can grow in full sunlight, and will provide some much needed shade for Farmview visitors.
Mount Airy fothergilla was installed in the entryway of the marketplace, along with spring bouquet of viburnum, purple coneflower, and black-eyed susan. These gorgeous blooms are native to the area. We also added color to the mix with prairie sky switch grass, and a blue-shaded, wispy grass that adds a calming touch to any entryway.
A favorite in this landscape is Pink Muhli Grass. With stunning magenta blooms and feathery leaves, the Pink Muhli grass is the perfect border accent for Farmview’s landscape and a cheery addition to the market entryway. You can’t be unhappy checking out this plant! Willow oak, eastern red cedars, and Black Gum Trees were our final installation and will stand sentry over Farmview for years to come.
In addition to the landscaping, Great Estates also installed the underlying irrigation systems for the complex. We want to thank Farmview Market for allowing us the opportunity to be a part of this incredible project. Be sure to head over to Madison’s brand new Farmview Market for locally sourced foods and produce, and have a farm-fresh lunch in the café! The first day of their Spring Farmers Market will be Saturday, April 30th. We hope to see you there!
