At Great Estates Landscaping, we love giving thanks and giving back. That’s why we’re so pleased to announce a new initiative for the Veteran’s Greenspace in Downtown Madison. Great Estates provided a pro bono, ongoing landscape service to honor our veterans and to give thanks for our community.
“We were approached by David Hanes about doing some landscaping for the space,” said David West, Great Estates Landscaping’s general manager. “Well-maintained spaces instill a sense of pride and we hope this space will reflect the pride our businesses and residents have in this community and all our service members. We are proud to be part of a project that honors our veterans.”
There was a ceremony to dedicate the space on Veteran’s Day, November 11th. The Color Guard from Morgan County High School’s Air Force Junior ROTC, led by instructors Major Robert Atkins and Master Sergeant Barry Haines, joined members of the community and Great Estates, in dedicating the new space. The Junior ROTC also presented the Colors during the ceremony.
“We were pleased to participate in honoring our community’s and our nation’s veterans,” said Major Atkins. “Cadets wanted to show their appreciation to them for defending our freedoms. This is one small way for them to say ‘Thank You’ for serving our great nation.”
We at Kelly Products and Great Estates Landscaping are so honored and proud to offer our services to the Veteran’s Greenspace. And we’re so thankful to be a part of such an amazing community. During this season of thanks, we celebrate everything that makes Madison and Great Estates Landscaping wonderful. Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours!
